Adamari López (Humacao, May 18, 1971) is a Puerto Rican television, theatre and film actress and television host. As of 2025, she is a member of Desiguales, an all-female talkshow similar to English-language programs such as The View.
Biography[]
On March 22, 2005, López held a press conference in San Juan announcing she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Her then-boyfriend, Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi, announced at the same press conference that he was postponing his 2005 tour to be by her side. López, however, was expected to recover and ultimately did; the cancer was caught at "stage one", a very early stage, thus it had not spread to any other areas of her body.
López underwent cancer surgery. In 2006, it was reported that she was in remission. Following her recovery, she has campaigned for breast cancer awareness.
In 2020, López became a Weight Watchers ambassador. Oprah Winfrey welcomed her into the WW community during her 2020 Vision: Your Life in Focus tour in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
