"Beleza pura" is a Brazilian telenovela written by Andréa Maltarolli for Rede Globo. It's an original story. The main stars are Edson Celulari and Regiane Alves.

Synopsis[]

Joana is a struggling esthetician who was abandoned by her mother Sônia, who was born in an orphanage and had to win on her own, working in Renato's clinic, a plastic surgeon who is in love with her. The successful aeronautical engineer Guilherme, on the other hand, has his career destroyed by Norma, a co-worker obsessed with him, who decides to secretly sabotage his latest project. During the inaugural flight, the Carcará long-range helicopter crashes in the Amazon, killing the project investor Olavo, doctor Alex, journalist Márcia, chemist Mateus, as well as Sônia, Guilherme's neighbor and friend. Joana and Guilherme's destinies intersect when she discovers her mother's true identity and, in search of meeting her, ends up knocking on Guilherme's door, who adopted Sônia's other children - Klaus and Dominique - and took care of her clinic "Beleza pura" (Pure beauty).

In love, Joana and Guilherme begin to live a beautiful relationship, but they are separated by Norma's intrigues, making the two become business rivals, in a comical love-hate relationship. Joana becomes a partner with the former chacrete and hairdresser Ivete at the "Amor da pele" aesthetic clinic, main rival of "Beleza pura". Ivete is the mother of Anderson and Rakelli, a naive and senseless girl who dreams of working on television and is always embarrassed by her discomfort. She dates the bricklayer Robson, who inherits millions from his distant cousin Olavo and gets rich overnight, attracting the interest of José Henrique, a treacherous lawyer hired to manage his fortune and who convinces his girlfriend, the excited Sheila, to seduce the boy to deliver a blow. Sheila's sister, Suzy, became a successful woman that is not only ashamed of her suburban family, but also of the attraction she feels for Raul, a man of humble origin.

In parallel, there are other stories, such as the rebel Klaus, who lives between romances with ex-friends Fernanda and Luísa, having to face the competition with Felipe. The unemployed Helena, Mateus's widow, decides to dress like her deceased husband and use his documents to get a good job to pay for the treatment of her sick son, going to work at Renato's clinic. The two end up feeling attracted, causing him a great confusion of feelings, even more when Mateus reappears, surprising everyone. Gradually, Olavo, Alex and Márcia also return and, together with Guilherme, they begin to unravel the riddles of sabotage, reaching up to Norma's intrigues. The last to return is Sônia, creating a great clash between her and Joana, the abandoned daughter who cannot forgive her mother, having to prove her love.
