Synopsis[]
Wealth, power and ambition surround the life of Anastasia Valbuena de Borofsky, a woman who must fight against strong enemies to save her life and happiness. The jewelry of the Borofsky family owes its success to the "Estrambótica Anastasia", whose image is admired by all. Anastasia has two sisters, Alexandra, a sweet deaf girl, and Catalina, impulsive and passionate. These sisters are triplets, and they will confuse everyone by changing their identities.
Despite her success and her beauty, Anastasia is neither satisfied nor happy with her life. She is married to Ovidio Borosfky Samaniego and has a beautiful daughter, but it is not until she meets Aureliano Paz, a handsome and charming man who captivates her heart, that Anastasia really begins to feel something for him. A long time ago, Aureliano was unjustly accused by his biological father, Don Toño Borosfky, of stealing 'La cruz de los sueños' (The Cross of Dreams), a cursed jewel whose value amounts to millions of dollars and which belonged to the empress Catherine II of Russia and later to Helena de Borosfky, Don Toño's deceased wife.
Due to her abusive husband, between Anastasia and Aureliano a forbidden love is born. Besieged, Anastasia decides to escape while developing a sinister plan hatched among other members of the family, as Bromelia Castellanos de Borosfky, Don Toño's daughter-in-law, intends to destroy her by blaming her for the theft of 'La cruz de los sueños'. This is how Anastasia will face tragedies, risks, threats and all the possible evil inspired by ambition and thirst for power, to unmask her enemies, save herself from death and love again.
After a couple of mysterious deaths that target specifically his family and friends, Aureliano soon discovers there's a serial killer on the loose and he must stop him or her.
