Synopsis[]

After meeting in Cancún and witnessing the murder of the powerful judge Vitório, Alexia, Luna and Kyra enter the Witness Protection Program and are sent to the interior of São Paulo, changing their names to Josimara, Fiona and Cleyde. They are being presumed dead to protect them from assassins. Who wants their death is the unscrupulous Dominique, one of the leaders of the faction involved in corruption and Renzo's aunt, who had a torrid affair with Alexia in Mexico, although he lives an ethical dilemma for not agreeing with the family's illegalities.

Alexia is an unlucky actress who was going to star in her first telenovela and was always passed over by her mother, Graziela, who never hid her favoritism for her youngest, ambitious Petra, who tries to win Alan, her rich and widowed cousin. Kyra was about to marry Rafael. Luna was abandoned by her mother Helena in Mexico at the age of four with her father Mário when she crossed the American border promising to save money and never returned.

In the countryside, in Judas do Norte, they go to live on the farm of Ermelinda and her son Zezinho, who work in the Protection Program, but the three convince them to go to São Paulo and take advantage of their new identities to infiltrate their real lives. Alexia becomes Rafael's secretary to keep him away from his ex, Renatinha, who took advantage of Kyra's fake death to try to win him back, in addition to living a "love and hate" relationship with Zezinho, which is also disputed by Bel.

Kyra goes to work for Alan as a nanny to make sure that Ignacio, Alexia's grandfather who has Alzheimer's, doesn't forget about his granddaughter, but she gradually approaches the widower, being seen as an enemy by Petra. Luna, on the other hand, infiltrates the life of her own mother, who became a powerful businesswoman and is married to the millionaire Hugo, being Téo and Micaela's stepmother. As Téo's physical therapist, Luna tries to investigate the abandonment and lives a romance with him, despite his girlfriend, Úrsula, although she doesn't even imagine that her Mexican boyfriend Juan – the only one who knows the truth – is looking for her.

Trivia[]

  • Working title for the show was 'Pura adrenalina'.
  • Bianca Bin was originally cast in the role of Kyra but decided to pursue other project so she was replaced with Vitória Strada.
  • Isis Valverde and Tatá Werneck were considered for the roles of Alexia and Luna.
  • Gabriela Duarte was in consideration for the role of Dominique, but recused the offer.
  • Murilo Benício was in consideration for the role of Hugo, but preferred to star in 'Amor de mãe'.
  • Elizabeth Savalla was in consideration for the role of Ermelinda but recused the role due to her theatre commitments.
  • Patrícya Travassos was offered the role of Graziela but recused the role due to her filming the second season of TV comedy 'O dono do lar' on Multishow.
  • Viviane Araújo was originally cast as Renatinha, but was deemed too old for the role which was recasted with Juliana Alves.
  • Talita Younan and Pâmela Tomé auditioned for the role of Úrsula.
  • On March 28, 2020, the filmings of the telenovela were interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in its schedule, the reruns of Totalmente demais and Haja coração were shown, from March 30, 2020 to March 19, 2021.
  • On June 11, 2020 actor José Condessa, who played one of the show's protagonists, asked to leave the telenovela, since he had already agreed with the Portuguese channel TVI since the end of 2019 that he would star in a soap opera in the second half of 2020, shortly after finishing the work on 'Salve' – which before the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil was expected to end in July and would not conflict with the recordings until then.
  • A day later it was announced that Rodrigo Simas would join the cast to compete for the character of Juliana Paiva with Felipe Simas, his brother in real life.
  • Also in June, actress Sabrina Petraglia announced that she was pregnant with her second child and that she would leave the show so as not to harm the pregnancy due to the pandemic. As a justification, it was announced that her character would receive a job offer abroad, but that Sabrina would shoot the last scenes of the character in September of 2020, the month when the shooting returned.
  • Actress Manu Gavassi was invited by the author to play Júlia, a character created especially to cover the lack of Micaela. But due to other professional commitments, the actress declined the invitation and Sophia Abrahão ended up taking on the role.
  • Shooting resumed on August 10, 2020 under strict criteria, to comply with safety protocols, with exclusive dressing rooms and assembly of new scenographic cities. The scripts were designed so that only two actors participate in each recorded scene. Even so, Globo reported that the new episodes would only air in 2021.
  • Being in the risk group due to his age, actor Otávio Augusto started to record his scenes as Ignacio from home. The actor worked with his wife, also actress Cristina Mullins, who started playing Nair; his character's sister.
